Retorisk kritikk eller kritisk retorikk?
Retorikkfagets forhold til samfunnsvitenskapelige tekster

Denne artikkelen skisserer en kritisk og innholdsorientert retorisk kritikk av samfunnsvitenskapelige tekster, og tar for seg hvordan disse tekstene i varierende grad ignorerer eller også undertrykker alternative og konkurrerende virkelighetsforståelser. Denne oppfatningen av retorikk som en teksts virkelighetsdefinerende, og ikke nødvendigvis intenderte maktutøvelse, bryter med enkelte av retorikkfagets retorikkoppfatninger, og det her foreslåtte kritiske prosjektets plass innenfor den retoriske tradisjonen, og dermed også innenfor et moderne retorikkfag som ikke foretar en skarp grenseoppgang mot diskursanalysen, forsvares derfor.
